I've finished my first board game! The game was published and entered for the map builder design contest on The Game Crafter. It's very inspiring to finish a game, and I feel I've learned a lot for the continued development of Spooked Jellyfish. It's also daunting when you realize how much work is ahead. Spooked Jellyfish is a much larger project, but I'm looking forward to get back to it.

Here's the shop page for A Maze:

The rules document is free to download and can be found if you scroll down a bit on the shop page.
Late January I felt the inspiration building up, so I went to thegamecrafter.com to check out their new parts. There I found they're having a map builder game design contest and I couldn't help but getting ideas. So, now I'm working on an entry for the contest with a deadline on March 1. The game is called A MAZE and I've gotten really far. At the moment I'm concentrating on playtesting, finishing the rules, tweaking and polishing.
It went well though, my playtesting friends said it was fairly balanced and not too easy. But I think it was still somewhat confusing, especially since the card texts where not updated.
Made tokens with the stickers.
This is where I was hoping to release my game, but I'm not sure they have all the parts I need. The good things about it is that you can sell just one game since there's no need to order a bulk of games. From what I understand, you also keep the rights to your game.
We won, but it wasn't a given win. We weren't sure of the outcome up until the last round, which I am very happy about! No anti-climax because you known for long that you will win.

I was writing down things to solve each round and had to invent rules on the go as usual. But the game flowed much more smoothly than during the last playtest. Mum was a great playtester and I will have good use of her input.
